Groupon’s Noble Recovery
I ordered Dr. Dre Beats headphones from Groupon the other day. Today I get this email…
Hi, Everyone:
Thank you for purchasing the Groupon for Dr. Dre Beats headphones from High Performance Computers.
Unfortunately, it has just come to our attention that High Performance Computers is not an authorized vendor of this product and therefore cannot guarantee the integrity of the headphones. We deeply regret that we did not discover this fact until now. Rather than risk a Groupon experience that is less than great for our customers, we have decided that the best course of action is to cancel this deal and refund you for your purchase price.
No action is required on your part. We’ve already issued you a full refund to the credit card used for this purchase. Please allow up to 10 business days for this refund to reflect on your statement. As a token of thanks for your understanding in this matter, we have also placed $5 Groupon credit into your account that will automatically apply toward any future Groupon purchases. This credit is available immediately and does not expire.
Again, we regret any inconvenience this cancelation has caused and thank you for using Groupon. If we can help you further, please feel free to contact us.
Regards,
Jeremy G
Groupon Customer Support
Whenever a site like Groupon features a product, they are locking out others and in this case it cost them a day. This is a very nice email (and a noble response) but it shows us Groupon is still human.
